New Digital Ads: Greg Abbott On The Side of Corporations, Not Rape Victims

AUSTIN, TX – As a judge, Greg Abbott ruled to stop a rape survivor from suing those who negligently hired her rapist, and today, Planned Parenthood Texas Votes has launched a digital ad campaign to be sure that Texans know that Abbott has sided with corporations over rape survivors.

Statement from Yvonne Gutierrez, Executive Director, Planned Parenthood Texas Votes:

“As a Texas judge, Greg Abbott tried to stop a woman who was brutally raped by a door-to-door salesman from being able to sue. His decision as a judge to side with a corporation over a rape survivor is only a preview of what he’d do as Governor. Greg Abbott did not stand up for women as a judge, and he clearly won’t stand up for women as Governor.”

Planned Parenthood Texas Votes Fights Back

Planned Parenthood Texas Votes is running a $3 million dollar statewide electoral program to make sure Texans know what is at stake for women in this election, and to ensure that women voters are the decisive factor in November. In addition to our field program, which will reach over 300,000 voters, our communications program makes sure to reach voters with rapid and constant messaging about the candidates.

Planned Parenthood is a trusted messenger about what is a stake for women in this election, and this digital campaign will make sure voters know that Greg Abbott is bad for Texas women, and bad for Texas.
